Polyurethane bandsaw tyres, 12 × 3 mm, pair

These 12 mm polyurethane tyres come as a pair, 3 mm thick, for bandsaw wheels of 165 mm and from 190 to 270 mm.

Press a fingernail into your old tyre: if it feels hard, or the surface has glazed over, the blade has lost its grip. Polyurethane holds on by its own tension, with no glue, and lasts far longer than rubber before it hardens.

Measure:

1. Take the old tyre off.
2. Measure the bare wheel's diameter.
3. Measure the rim width.

Fit:

1. Warm them in hot tap water, never boiling.
2. Allow 5–10 minutes at 48–60 °C.
3. Start opposite the seam, with clamps and a rounded tool.
4. Tension the blade only once they have cooled.

Ten diameters, in 10 mm steps above 190 mm. Measure twice, order once.
