Vacuum press
Multico vacuum press kits for veneering and laminating, with polyurethane bags from 100 × 150 cm to 400 × 280 cm. Polyurethane is tougher and more flexible than vinyl, especially in the cold.
Three things decide the result. Use a urea-formaldehyde glue, such as Cascamite, or a veneer-grade PVA, never contact cement, hot-melt or standard yellow PVA. Lay breather mesh so the air can reach the port. And work on a rigid, grooved platen: the panel is only as flat as the platen.
