Multico vacuum press, complete kit, 400 × 280 cm

The largest of the Multico vacuum press kits: a 400 × 280 cm polyurethane bag for full-size boards and big veneered panels, with an oil-free Becker VT 4.8 pump.

A bag this size holds a lot of air, so give the pump time to draw it down and check that the breather mesh reaches every edge. At 150 mbar absolute the press clamps at about 8.5 t/m².

In the kit:

• a polyurethane bag, 0.5 mm thick;
• a Becker VT 4.8 vacuum pump;
• a pump-to-bag connection hose;
• a connection valve;
• a bag closing system;
• a rubber gasket;
• breather mesh.

For the glue line, use urea-formaldehyde or a veneer-grade PVA, never contact cement, hot-melt or ordinary yellow PVA.
