Polyurethane bandsaw tyres, 18 × 3 mm, pair

A pair of polyurethane tyres, 18 mm wide and 3 mm thick, in 21 diameters from 190 to 380 mm.

A tyre with a flat spot announces itself as a regular vibration, once per turn of the wheel; grooves and cracks are other signs of wear. Polyurethane stretches on without glue and resists hardening and cracking far longer than rubber.

Measure:

1. Take the old tyre off.
2. Measure the bare wheel's diameter.
3. Measure the rim width.

Fit:

1. Soak them in 48–60 °C tap water, 5–10 minutes.
2. Never use boiling water.
3. Start opposite the seam, with clamps and a rounded tool.
4. Let the tyre cool before you tension a blade.
