Polyurethane bandsaw tyres, 25 × 3 mm, pair

The widest of our 3 mm polyurethane tyres: 25 mm across, sold as a pair for wheels from 210 to 400 mm.

Look for these signs that the old tyres have done their work:

• cracks, especially where the tyre is stretched over the rim;
• a glazed, slick or hard surface;
• grooves worn by the blade;
• flat spots you can feel as a vibration.

Fit: polyurethane needs no glue.

1. Soak them in 48–60 °C tap water, 5–10 minutes.
2. Never use boiling water.
3. Start opposite the seam, with clamps and a rounded tool.
4. Let the tyre cool before you tension a blade.
