Polyurethane bandsaw tyres, 30 × 4 mm, pair

From 30 mm wide our polyurethane tyres step up to 4 mm thick. This pair suits wheels from 310 to 500 mm in diameter.

Replace a tyre that shows cracks, a glazed or hard surface, grooves or flat spots. Rubber hardens and cracks with age and its glue bond fails; polyurethane resists this far longer and needs no glue.

Measure:

1. Take the old tyre off.
2. Measure the bare wheel's diameter.
3. Measure the rim width.

Fit:

1. Soak them in 48–60 °C tap water, 5–10 minutes.
2. Never use boiling water.
3. Start opposite the seam, with clamps and a rounded tool.
4. Let the tyre cool before you tension a blade.
