Specifications
Some machines are worth keeping. The Major is one of them.
On the Major (341.018 · US 250/259) you set the depth of cut with the rise-and-fall handle, up to 80 mm with a 250 mm blade. For bevels the whole table tilts to 45°, so the blade stays vertical.
It was made by Inca, whose die-casting parent, Injecta, also cast parts for Leica cameras.
The riving knife behind the blade keeps the kerf open; leave it fitted, as it is the main defence against kickback.
In the box: the machine and its user manual, plus the rip fence.
