Some machines are worth keeping. The Automatic is one of them.
A planer-thicknesser sized for a small workshop, the Automatic (343.190 · US 510/550/560/570) surfaces on its 1,040 mm table and brings boards to thickness up to 260 × 160 mm, taking up to 3 mm a pass. This one is the bench model, without a stand.
Inca was the woodworking brand of Injecta of Teufenthal, Switzerland; Inca production moved to Anould, in the Vosges, in 1978.
Two things keep an Automatic happy. The double-sided M42 knives flip or change without resetting, and the plastic feed pinions, its known weak point, want a light coat of Molykote DX.
