Some machines are worth keeping. The Expert 500 is one of them.

It is the first used bandsaw with a sliding table we have seen. With the table fitted, timber is clamped and carried past the blade for straight and angled cuts, as on a panel saw.

The saw is the three-wheel Expert 500 (342.025 · US 710): a throat of about 505 mm (20″) and a 2,645 mm blade, which flexes round three wheels and so fatigues sooner.

Inca production moved from Switzerland to Anould, in the Vosges, in 1978.
